About the Author

Cynthia A. Bowen is an award-winning author and poet with writings appearing in numerous publications. She was a finalist in the Writers' League of Texas manuscript contest and Yellow Bird Editors First Chapter Contest. She is a member of the Texas Novel Crafters critique group, BACA Center Writers, and Writers' League of Texas. She was interviewed by NPR (KUT 90.5) about PROUD FLESH. She is currently working on another novel.
